I created the "Hunting Beast" as a place for knowledgeable hunters and sportsmen to meet and discuss strategies & tactics. Over time, I have noticed that most of the so-called "Pro" hunters really don't know how to hunt. What they really excel at is in knowing how to get high-dollar sponsorships, free equipment and free hunts that involve someone else’s hard-work and skills to make the hunt successful. The real “Pro's” are not the people you see in most celebrity hunting and outdoors shows, they are the die-hard “do it yourselfers” who quietly earn their accomplishments in the outdoors. These types of hardcore hunters routinely go unnoticed – that is until now. I believe we have compiled a group of highly advanced hunters and sportsmen on this site who have proven to me that they indeed think outside the box!
The sad truth is that most hunters want to skip the scouting & hard-work involved and leap-frog directly to the results – a mature buck on the ground. They want instant results and look for shortcuts to reach their ultimate success. The reality is that their shortcuts ultimately lead to failures. The future of hunting is facing an ever-increasing population of people out there “buying” their success thru high-dollar leases and outfitted hunts. One needs to ask themselves, “are they really hunting...Or just plain killing?”
The wise old woodsman who relies on knowledge is indeed a dying breed. That is where “Hunting Beast” steps in – bringing together sportsmen, sharing strategies, utilizing proven-tactics, noting observations, and developing “true old-school woodsmanship!”
